Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without using the Close-Up lens. Buyer Beware1
I purchased these for use on my Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens on a Canon XTi(400D). The chromatic abrasion(CA) and halo effect is very pronounced and takes quite a lot of work to reduce it in post processing, even with the help of Adobe Lightroom or Camera Raw(ACR). Notice I said reduce! I can not in good conscience recommend this product.

Practical and affordable4
The Opteka filters I bought them about 2 weeks ago and have already saved my Nikon D-60 from playful dirty hands of children. I dont notice any distortion on the pictures and really do the job. I would recommend them. The store shipped the items very quickly to me and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

No defects, and comes in a good case. Each magnifier also comes in a plastic case that helps reduce smudges.

They are threaded so that the pieces can be combined, but I doubt that the overall quality would be great due to any lack of clarity being "magnified" (get it?).

I carry this kit everywhere.
