Easily set Custom White Balance for perfect Exposures.

The White Balance Disk is 58mm Diameter and fits the filter mount of a variety of lenses such as the Canon 18-55mm or the Olympus 14-42mm "kit" lenses.

The White Balance Disk is similar to an 18% Grey Card, but easier to use. After slipping over your lens (or use the included Adapter to screw into your 58mm filter mount), the White Balance Disk provides a diffused, balanced light which you use to set your camera's Custom White Balance control for that particular scene and light.

Accuracy of White Balance depends on the specific color characteristics of the material in the scene, the color temperature of the light, and the overall contrast. Most cameras can be set to pre-determined settings for Incandescent, Fluorescent, Shade, Sunlight, etc., but often you must shoot a scene with a variety of light, such as in a greenhouse where there may be a combination of fluorescent, daylight, and refracted window light.

General Useage:
(Your camera must allow you to set & save a Custom White Balance or Custom Balanced Photo)

1) Attach the White Balance Disk to your camera lens.
2) Set your camera's focus to Manual (otherwise your AutoFocus system will constantly hunt for something to focus on).
3) Use Manual, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, or Program mode.
4) Be sure to consult your Camera's Manual for instructions on saving a Custom White Balance setting.

Pops out easily
This lens cap fits onto a screw-in plastic ring. It is very easy to accidentally pop the ring out of the lens when taking off the cap. I don't recommend this product, it's been more annoying than anything.

Lens Cap
It doesn't stay on my Canon Rebel Digital Lens as well as I had hoped it would. It falls off very easily.

Qick white balance
I do a lot of on location shooting and this product really helps get the white balance set for each shot quickly and effectively. If you do not own a meter and want to improve your photography, this is an inexpensive alternative for filling that space.
