Amazon.com Product Description
SanDisk's 128 MB Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card includes a high-performance, nine-pin SD interface that enables data transfer rates of up to 10 megabytes per second. Its proprietary interface commands facilitate the secure exchange of content between host devices, like PCs and music servers, and the card itself. The security level provided in the SD Memory Card has been designed to comply with current and projected SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) portable device requirements.
From the Manufacturer
The SD Card is a highly secure stamp-sized flash memory card. Jointly developed by Matsushita Electronic (best known for its Panasonic brand name products), SanDisk and Toshiba, the SD Card weighs approximately two grams. The SD Card can be used in a variety of digital products; digital music players, cellular phones, handheld PCs (HPCs), digital cameras, digital video camcorders, smart phones, car navigation systems and electronic books. This model has enough storage to hold more than two hours of compressed music, or dozens of digital pictures.
Secure
Cryptographic security for copyrighted data based on proven security concepts from DVD audio. Security level complies with both current and future Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI) portable device requirements. The cards also have a user-selectable mechanical write protect switch on the exterior card casing.
Fast
High transfer rate for fast copy/download operations.
Efficient
High storage capacity, with non-volatile solid-state memory that has no moving parts to conserve battery power and maximize battery life in small portable devices. The card has an operating shock rating of 2,000Gs, equivalent to a 10-foot drop to the floor.
Compatible
New devices with SD Card slots will accept existing MultiMediaCards.

Great Product
I decided to purchase this item because I needed to get SD memory for my g/friends digital camera, so I chose this one because of the price and the brand. SanDisk is known for their memory. Well, no need to say more, this thing works great. I will buy another one but with more space anyday. Thanks alot San Disk.
When it worked, it was fine.
I got a really great deal on a 128mb SanDisk SmartCard through Amazon. However, one day it was no longer recognized by my Olympus camera. It could not be reformatted either. It was only about a year old, so I received a new card quickly from SanDisk. Now a year later-- same thing has happened. The card has a five year warranty HOWEVER, I called the manufacturer who told me they no long make this product and there are no replacements available for them to send me, so in other words, I am OUT OF LUCK. They offered to send me another product (not for the camera, but just something else of the same value). That was a nice gesture, but I really didn't need anything else. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. If you're going to buy one of these cards, be aware they are no longer being replaced by SanDisk, so the 5 year warranty is basically useless.
Great for Canon A-series dig, cameras
just got this one at sears, and was only $20 so i grabbed it. the Canon A400 i have only came with 16mb so i needed more space. the 128 is much faster and easy to format than my old one. love it!!! go out and buy one today! GET SANDISK NOT LEXAR, THEY BREAK ALL THE TIME!!!!!!
