Customer Reviews
So far so good.
Attached cable a nice feature. Seems rugged, well-built. Backup software worked well with Vista (Ultimate 32). I think it only allows you to install the software on one computer though.
Slightly bulkier than the WD offering, but seems like it might take a drop a little better. I like the dull finish better, as it won't scratch up as much.
Overall, recommended.
MiniStation
Everything about this product is good; its quiet, convenient, portable and it is just a plug and play device. I even dropped it already and it still works as if it were new thanks to the shock absorbers in the device.
Doesn't get any better for the price
I've had this portable drive for about a year now. I formatted it to NTFS so I could store larger files. 500 GB is more than enough, I simply don't see any reason for larger storage capacity for an on the go drive and the physical size of it is just small enough. I hardly ever use the turbo usb but it is handy. Quick note- if you do use the turbo usb cable you need to plug it in first, then plug the regular usb cable in afterward. Integrated wire management for the primary usb wire is a huge plus. I don't care for all of Buffalo products, but the ministation reigns supreme over all portable drives as far as I'm concerned. Bravo!
