About the Author

Pruissen is the coordinator of the Child Care Information Centre in Calgary, Alberta, and has published numerous child-care publications and presented workshops for parents and caregivers. She ran a successful home daycare for eight years, and is the author of The Daycare Alternative: How to Find Good Child Care and the editor and publisher of the bimonthly newsletter Parent Care, Your Child Care News-Line. a great start to learning
Since the birth of my first born child I've been pondering an in-home daycare. I had no idea where to start and this book was perfect for that. It gave me direction and helped to answer questions. The book has a C.D. with forms which has been very helpful. A wonderful resource to the start of your potential business.

Great book!
I purchased this book as a resource for myself as I begin my own home daycare business. It has been, and continues to be a great resource for me. It has everything you need including a CD which has all the forms you need to get started.

Start & Run a Home Daycare
This book is the end all of all books in this category. You are NOT wasting your money on this book if you want to open a home daycare. In fact, all the other books that I bought, were a waste of money compared to this book. EVERYTHING that you need to know to run a home daycare is in here. So many things that I didn't even think of. What I love the most, is all the forms and the disk that has many templates on it. Way worth purchasing! I love this book and am so grateful to the writer for such a complete job well done on this topic. Extremely Useful!
