Get the body and lens seperately... the kit lens are too restrictive. The 18-200mm sony a100h kit lens is a bit better as a general purpose lens, but eventually you'll start yearning for something better in terms of aperature, zoom range, sharpness, bokeh, etc etc.

This card takes about 1000 pictures at the maximum 10.2mp resolution of the a100. And roughly 200 pictures in RAW format. For the price and brand, it's an incredible deal. Carrying a couple of the 2gb version of this is also a good alternative. I've broken an OEM 8GB card before-OUCH!

This is a great bag for your a100 and about 2-3 lenses, depending on size. It fits the Sigma 50-500mm attached to the a100 on top snugly, with room on the bottom for another lens and accessories. For longer trips, go for a backpack.

at 8 bucks, this is an essential addition to any kit. Why risk not having enough juice to take ALL the pictures you want to take? I always leave another charged battery in my bag, and it has served me very well several times when I've gotten way too generous with the trigger.

on ebay and purchase a vertical grip by DiCain. With a good vertical grip, you'll be taking way more vertical pictures - and they'll come out better because you'll be holding the camera more comfortably with less shake.

This is another great carry-around lens. It's light enough to stay on your camera for shots around the house, portraits, and has an angle wide enough at 16mm to take some pretty cool landscapes.
