Very versatile - we use these every day
I bought a set of these pasta/salad bowls years ago in an outlet store and absolutely love them. We use them for salad and pasta, but also for cold cereal, oatmeal, soup, reheating leftovers, and many other things. They look good with both our everyday dishes and with our good china. We also put one of these bowls inverted in the microwave to elevate our microwave popcorn bags and find we get better results. (Warning - I did this once with a bowl that had just come out of the dishwasher and it exploded in the microwave after a minute or so. No harm done except to the dish itself, but it was startling). We've broken a few through the years, so I was glad to find them available on Amazon and replenished my stock.

GREAT Salad Plate
I bought a huge set of Enhancements to use for when I'm entertaining a crowd. One of my favorite things about the set are the salad/pasta bowls. When I first saw these bowls, I wasn't quite sure if you could really call it a bowl, as it's so shallow, but they make fantastic salad plates. They are low and broad, so you can assemble very pretty salads in them, and they're so much nicer than salad plates because the veggies don't jump or roll off while you are eating. They're also quite large, so you can really load them up if you like. The bowls are also nice for using as small serving bowls for things like pickles or olives. They're really a great addition to the set.
