Best Entertainment Mag to keep you "in the know"
After the demise of my much beloved "Premier" magazine, I sought out a replacement with grim hope. There just aren't many choices in quality entertainment/film mags out there for someone wanting to keep up with the film/media world and that doesn't reside in LA/Hollywood. I settled on EW but didn't have high hopes or expectations that it would ever be able to duplicate the thrill I got when receiving the new issue in the mail like Premier did. 2 years later, I am a convert! Sure, it's not the glossy, high quality production of its predecessor but I've grown to overlook that because of the great content it provides me with each and every week. I know what's coming not only in film, but on TV and even in the literary world! Great reviews on everything from music to books to cable really filled the void Premier left behind. The witty writing and sometimes snarky commentary is right up my alley. To discover that Stephen King is one of their rotating writers, along with the amazing Diablo Cody is worth the price of subscription alone! This is one magazine that gets read & re-read, cover to cover, and referred back to till it's almost in tatters. Without it, I'd be aimlessly adrift among the mind-boggling sea of entertaiment options. If you're looking for a magazine that's not only about today's media/entertainment industry but is also entertaining, I highly recommend EW!

Love this magazine! Always gets a good laugh
EW is a breath of fresh air when it comes to entertainment magazines. It has a witty intelligent humor and it does not ever mention gossip of the moment like people, us weekly, etc. If you enjoy reading articles on upcoming movies, tv shows, music, and books (especially those that are not mass marketed on tv), this mag is for you! They often offer articles of what is trendy at the moment, but it is the non-obvious trendy items you wouldn't expect. This week included the new show "Michael and Michael" on Comedy Central and new book "This is Where I Leave You". I actually read it cover to cover each week. It is a very nice present to receive each week (and at an AMAZING price!!)

DELIVERY - FAST DELIVERY & GREAT PRICE!!!!! My first part of this review is based on the company that fulfilled this EW subscription (Synapse Services). I received my subscription in only 4 weeks which is the quickest I've ever had a subscription start. $30 for a 2 year subscription is only 27 CENTS an issue. What can you buy today that cost only 27 cents? If you renew your order directly through Entertainment Weekly the best price they give you is $1.13 an issue for a 2 year subscription which comes to $124.30.

MAGAZINE - I've been getting Entertainment Weekly for many years and in recent years the content has not been as good as it used to. Some issues are ridiculously thin. There are still some parts of EW that I still really like though. I was thinking of giving up the magazine until I saw this offer. If I had to pay the regular renewal price I would not be getting this magazine again, but like I said previously you can't beat 27 CENTS an issue. Price versus value this is a GREAT deal!!!!
