Customer Reviews

Comprehensive and lots of ideas/guidance 5
This book from Amy Kates/Jay Galbraith provides a useful addition to their earlier work Designing Dynamic Organisations.I found the chapter on solving the centralisation-decentralisation dilemma very helpful, and the coverage of organisation for innovation provides a wide range of pointers for the the reader who is dealing with this topic. The first chapter provides a review of the key concepts and principles of organisation design giving a good lead into the rest of the book.If you want a deeper treatment, in terms of a step by step guide, to organisation design principles see their 2002 book mentioned above.
