Improved consistency from the tee box
This is the second generation of Brush Tees. The concept involves using a set tee height by placing the spike into the ground with soft but durable bristles that sit above the ground. A constant height is afforded every time you tee up. Assuming you hit the ball and not the tee, this innovative product can last an entire season - assuming you don't leave it on the teebox. A plastic base with nylon bristles as stiff as your hairbrush, the ball balances on a mantle of bristles. The case even has a ball marker.

Does it help promote longer drives? I don't believe it does. Does it set up a shot that you can repeat every time you get ready to hit from the teebox? Yes. Does it keep from getting the driver scratched up from wooden tees? Yes.

This product comes in sizes for the 3W, Oversized driver and Jumbo drivers. I don't think you want to use a club that you hit down on the ball unless you want to pay $3-$5 for a tee.

This product comes in a bullet shaped cased to protect the bristles and a holster to clip to the belt.

Raising a few eyebrows when you tee up it beats looking through the bag for spare tees. Is this product essential to the game? No. Do you want an interesting topic of conversation? It can be.

I think that this product is really worth a try. You may be surprised.

More alternatives for wooden tees have come out such as the Zero Friction and Stinger Tees. A similar concept is the Aero Spark Tee. I am always looking for a consistent way to set up at address.

At roughly $2 per tee, this is an expensive alternative to conventional wooden tees. For a beginner, it may help with consistent tee height. However, the durability of the tee is lacking. The bristles tend to deform after repeated use. This realistically lasts about 6 rounds. A case is included that helps the tee maintain its shape and a ball marker is integrated into the cap.

Regarding performance, I see no perceivable increase in distance. In windy conditions the ball has a difficult time staying on it. It is hard to drive the tee into the hard winter ground.

Overall, there are better values for conventional tee alternatives.
