Thin as a paperback and always ready for audio/video action, the D1750T from Audiovox wears its liquid-crystal heart on its sleeve: a vivid, 7-inch, ever-open screen configured in a 16:9 aspect ratio to closely match the dimensions of your favorite movies. Slide your optical media in from the top, toaster style. The player spins more than just DVD-Video discs, however--it's also compatible with DVD-R, DVD-RW, audio CD, CD-R, and CD-RW, as well as with both MP3- and JPEG-encoded discs. The entertainment possibilities are limitless.
A composite-video output--switchable with a composite-video input for viewing camcorder footage or a game console on the D1750T's screen--simplifies hookup with your home TV, and the stereo minijack audio input conveniently doubles as a minijack optical digital-audio output for direct connection with a Dolby Digital or DTS-decoding AV surround receiver. Analog connecting cables are included.
The player also transmits infrared audio for use with wireless headphones--a great way to sidestep tangled cords when you're on the road. Headphones, wired or otherwise, are not included.
The D1750T comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides up to 3 hours of playback, and the slender battery even serves as a stand for the player so you can watch it while it's setting on a table--or a seat-back flight tray. (Power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc.) The D1750T accepts AC 100 to 240V power (universal) via its AC power adapter for battery-free use in just about any country in the world.

Customer Reviews
Great unit if it would work reliably
First time out of the box it had problems. We had the unit plugged into another Audiovox display and after an hour into the first movie the remote display would switch into black and white. Only way to get the color back was to turn the DVD player off for a few minutes then back on but the problem would always return. If allowed to play for more than two hours the DVD player would stop operating when held upright with any DVD. Worked fine if laid horizontally. The unit also ran very, very hot which might explain the other problems.
BAD PRODUCT
THIS IS THE SECOND ( IN SIX MONTHS ) OF THESE UNITS I HAVE BOUGHT. ONLY FOR THE SPECS AND ESPECCIALLY THE SIZE. THE BATTERY FOLDS OVER , FLAT ON THE BACK OF THE SCREEN SO IT IS LESS BULKY. HOWEVER I FOUND OUT THEY DON'T LAST VERY LONG . THE FIRST UNIT THE HINGES JUST SNAPPED OFF, THE SECOND, THE SCREEN WENT DEAD AFTER ONLY DAYS OF USE.
save your money, get something else
this is one lousy expensive player. as one of the reviewer mentioned, the hinge on the battery unit will break. i had the unit replaced by the manufacturer as part of the warranty. but, after a few weeks, it broke again, at exactly the same spot. AudioVox refused to have it replaced again because the 90 day warranty period is over. Also, it constantly freezes playing home made DVD movies, regardless of the format of the DVD disc, not to mention I can hardly read subtitle text. i wish they had a money back guarantee.
