Bought as a Spare
I bought this battery as a spare for my Cannon Power Shot SD1100IS. To be honest the life on this kind of battery in my Cannon seems to last forever so I probably didn't need it. Either way it is a good purchase. I would recommend buying this battery rather than the camera brand as it is essentially the same thing but less expensive! You can also charge this battery in the Cannon charger without a hitch. I have this for 6 months and so far no issues.
Great improvement over the canon NB-4L battery.
I bought this battery as a backup battery for my Canon Powershot SD200. Now, I don't even use the Canon battery since the Digipower battery and Charger are all that I need.
It has a longer time span than than original Canon NB-4L battery! The Canon battery seemed to die shortly within 30 minutes to 1 hour, where as this battery will last for days or weeks, depending how much it is used. Today is 10/11/06 and the last time I charged it was on 8/25/06. I have used it almost everyday for a whole week and the battery will still be charged at the end of the week.
I love this battery! It has been one of my best purchases.
I also purchased the Digipower Travel charger (TC-500C) and use it to recharge the Digipower battery. I no longer use the Canon battery. The Digipower charger is more bulky than the Canon charger, but it works well and it comes with other adaptors for charging other types of batteries. The Digipower charger plugs directly into the wall (No cords) just like the Canon charger. I would not recommend using the Canon charger to recharge the Digipower battery. The Digipower battery takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to charge using the Digipower charger.
I hope if you buy one of these batteries, then you will be as satisfied as I am.
Great Battery, Great Deal
Holds a charge longer than the battery that came with my Canon1000IS and is available at a great price (of course they lower it after I've bought one).
