| Baggu is great whether you shop on foot or drive to the store, you always need to have a bag or two that fold up small and can be carried in your purse, ready for an unexpected errand. | ![]() |
![]() | We use lightweight, hard working fabrics to make bags that will perform years of service in all of our daily toting tasks: groceries, pharmacy purchases, gifts, and books, and pet food, and clothes and ... All the tons of things we find ourselves accepting a disposable bag to bring home. Changing our own shopping habits is one small thing we can do to make a difference. We hope you feel good every time you use your BAGGU. |
Plastic Bags & the Planet In landfills, it can take up to 1000 years for a bag to decompose. Plastics don't biodegrade, they photo-degrade, breaking down into tiny toxic pieces that contaminate soil and water or harm wildlife. Every time you use your Baggu bag instead of plastic or paper you are doing something good. |

Better than the photos.
These bags are strong and well-designed. Fit perfectly in your hand, even when full of heavier groceries. And the colors look more vibrant in person than they do in the photos. Great idea, well made.
Perfect Except
The Baggu totes hold the equivalent of 2 regular plastic grocery bags. Roomy, durable, easy on the hands. They do well what they are designed to do. My complaints have more to do with convenience. The fabric is very slippery so carrying more than one (folded in it's stuff sack) Baggu at a time usually meant dropping one or more so I have attached caribeaners to all my totes so I can easily carry them without dropping any. I have also attached the stuff sack to the tote so I won't have to deal with that either. Because these totes are designed to fold flat to fit into the stuff sack, they have to be folded which I find inconvenient. I was choosing between the Chico totes and these and had I realized that the stuff sack wasn't attached to the tote I would have purchased the Chico brand whose stuff sack is attached. The Chico's also have a caribeaner to attach to a purse, etc. The Chicos look like you can just stuff the tote into the stuff sack like you would a sleeping bag. But then you have more of a cylinder shaped object which wouldn't fit in your pocket as easily as the Baggu. My next purchase will be the Chicos unless Baggu redesigns their totes with the stuff sack attached and a caribeaner or a similiar form of attaching the totes together for convenience.
A cart full of groceries fits perfectly in six of these sacks.
First off, I have to admit, I love these bags more than I thought I would. So much so that I use them for everything now: groceries, library books, gym clothes. I just keep them in my car and haul them in and out. However, I never use their little pocket-sized packaging. It's just kind of a pain to get them in and out of those things since I use them so often. Perhaps if I walked to the store folding them up would be more convenient. Even better, would be if they redesigned them so that the small holders were part of the bag, so it wasn't something extra to lose.
