Customer Reviews

Shoddy construction ruins otherwise nice bag3
The fabric on bag looks a lot better in real life than it does on the screen - fabric is a perky spring green (not too bright or day-glo, though definitely not subdued) and has a sheen. Interior is a grey-ish white throughout so you don't have to deal with "black hole" syndrome. One large slip pocket & 2 mesh bottle pockets in main compartment, really nice simple changing pad compartment, mommy compartment big enough for wallet, keys, and accessory bags, and a smaller organizational department for things like iPods, cell phones, cameras etc.. Overall, the organization is just right, you aren't overwhelmed with random pockets everywhere but on the other hand you have a place for everything you might want to put in this bag. My one issue is sewing. When I got the bag there was a loose thread on the side and some of the seam had already snagged, after only 10 minutes of use. After a 2 hour museum outing, the mesh pocket on the side tore and the fabric on the front tore as well (this was a quiet trip to a museum, not a rock climbing trip!). The zippers aren't as smooth as my Eagle Creek backpack. I would say that the organization is nice but SkipHop probably should send someone to the factory in China for additional quality control measures. Fortunately Amazon accepts returns on faulty products, but I'm not sure I'll be getting another one in the near future.

Almost Perfect4
I got this diaper bag so that I could have something that was more portable, accessible and versatile then the traditional sling style bag. I admit, I initially thought it was on the small size. However, it actually holds everything I need for a trip out. It has a bunch of cargo pockets on the inside and out, a changing pad, and cool zippers on the sides that let you access stuff on the bottom of the bag without taking the bag off, opening the top up and digging through it all. I live in a big city and I take cabs and the subway or walk everywhere. The places we normally go to, strollers just aren't practical. Wonderfully, this backpack is the right size for a day out and about and can hold several diapers, wipes, a couple changes of clothes for my son, snacks, bottles and my essentials from my purse.

My husband is 6'2", 235lbs and in the Army. He can easily wear this backpack, so I have no clue what sort of "too small/fit" problem other husbands have been complaining about. One of us carries the backpack, the other straps on the baby carrier and totes my son. Then we trade off.

Suck it up and loosen the straps, men. Loosen the fricken' straps. Your arms aren't that big or buff. Promise. I realize that a backpack this "small" isn't the most manly pack you've carried, but at least it isn't a traditional diaper bag with Winnie the Poo or those stupid Precious Moments angels on it. Get over yourselves and just wear the bag. It's obviously not one of those mini backpacks from the 90s, its just a small-ish backpack that could easily pass as a Jans Port. Get over yourselves.

Seriously, my only real complaint is that the zipper on the main compartment busted after about a month. It won't stay zipped and it splits open in random spots, forcing you to ever so gently re-feed the zipper back through the clasp. Unfortunately I didn't purchase this through Amazon, so I'm having a bit more trouble getting it fixed then if I had. Great bag, otherwise. The zipper just sucks.

Not what I thought it would be2
So this backpack isn't what I thought it would be at all! It's waaay small and the straps make the backpack ride up high on your back. My husband couldn't even wear it at all and that is the main reason I got it. It has different compartments which is nice but the size & design just don't make up for it. I wouldn't recommend it at all unless you are tiny in size. :)
