Disney Commando Vehicle4
Just came back from a week at Walt Disney World where we put a new Techno XT through its paces. Overall this expensive but high quality stroller made navigating the four Walt Disney World parks much more fun. We wouldn't have wanted to go through the week with a less capable vehicle.

The XT can handle more weight than advertised - our five-year-old weighs 60 pounds and the stroller never bogged down or was difficult to steer. The rain shield came in handy our first morning at WDW and was awesome. We were rained on for 2 solid days, but the XT passenger stayed bone dry while Mom and Dad were soaked. No other stroller I saw had a rain shield this good. Workmanship and stroller materials are first rate and appear very durable. Seat padding is thick enough to be comfortable for hours of touring. Brakes are easy to set and unset with one foot. Handles are extendable - no hunching over to push the stroller like many parents I saw. The handles are wrapped in a thick foam rubber material and are very comfortable on the hands. The XT is relatively light-weight making it easy to carry on and off WDW busses when folded. The padded carrying handle is another nice touch. In the rear are two nice pockets for carrying smaller items like water bottles, maps and rain ponchos.

The basket underneath is smallish and somewhat difficult to reach. Folding the stroller is a two-handed operation that took a little practice. However the clasp that keeps the stroller folded up, snaps in place automatically - no hunting for straps to keep it folded. Unfolding is easier than folding and always worked fine. If you leave a heavy bag hung around the handles, the stroller might tip over backwards when the child gets out.

As parents we were highly impressed with the Techno XT. Our child loved it too. Highly recommended.

Better than the Best !!!5
This is the most amazing stroller ever, it's better than the Quests because of features such as the zipper that allows the canopy to open further and protect the child a little extra from the sun (feature which is not specified in most webs I looked up for info before buying) it also reclines completely and is a lot lighter than the new Tachno XLR and the bodies are built exactly the same (the diference stands in all the accesories from the XLR, which I think are not necessary) great stroller, super comfy, sturdy, folds very compact and LIGHT!!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

Best Stroller to Tackle the Concrete Jungle5
I wanted to write a positive review of the Maclaren Techno XT because, for our family, it has turned out to be an excellent product that we are very satisfied with.

Our family lives overseas in a very urban environment and faces many "stroller challenges" that i presume many folks who only use their strollers in a shopping mall setting are never faced with.

I wanted to list some features and beside them why it's important to us - a list that mainly comes from daily conversations my wife and i have while out pushing our little Bun in the morning for exercise:

* wheel system - i can't explain the science behind it, but the wheel setup has Land Rover abilities as we effortlessly push over concrete and tile (often wet from rain), up and down curbs and sidewalks, over broken, rubble-y terrain on our average walk around town, and up and down the natural hilly landscape where we live
* mesh basket under seat - nothing monumental, but still helpful to carry a bag or two of vegetables home from the market
* lightweight and side carrying handle - carrying the stroller up and down several flights of stairs just to leave our apartment building has us singing this stroller's praises every time we leave or come back home, not to mention those times my wife is carrying our little one in the other arm.
* extended sun cover with clear plastic peep window - our stroller is near about only used outside, and at all times of the day; the extra-long sun visor keeps the mean nasty direct sunlight out of baby's eyes in the long afternoon sun. Peep window allows us to see him while pusing without stopping the stroll, moving around to the front, and squatting down to see if he's asleep or not
* rain cover - in our usage, the rain cover has allowed us to be able to take depression-fighting strolls each morning even during the cold winter months. The cleverly designed clear plastic removable rain shield nearly seals off the "cabin," leaving baby not only dry in the rain, sleet, and snow (we've experienced all three while out on walks), but also cordons him off from the harsh winter wind. Otherwise it would be too cold and windy for us to go out with him and we would spend the winter holed up inside, waiting for it to warm back up.

Although your friends may joke that you spent way too much money on this "hollywood stroller," the extra money we spent on this well-designed stroller has bought our whole family a sweet hour of walking and talking and strolling together each morning that is one of the highlights of my day , and is not easily hindered by the unpredictable weather and terrain we meet everyday living in this concrete jungle.
