Customer Reviews

The lag ruins it1
It's a good mat, much better than the wired one that comes with the game. Sadly, the wireless timing just doesn't work. There's a lag: when you hit the mat, it takes the system a microsecond longer to register with the Wii than if using a wired mat. With non-timing games that wouldn't be a big deal, but with DDR, it makes all the difference. You also can't adjust yourself to it, because the hands still work perfectly with the beat (if you are good enough to sync your hands perfectly and your feet a tenth of second slower, you're better than me). And of course, that tenth of a second is the difference between a perfect and an ok. It's very demoralizing! So, yeah. It would be great to have a wireless mat. This just doesn't work. I'm returning mine.

It is OK3
I bought this pad to go with my DDR to eliminate having to have wires running across the room. The pad is ok, but it moves all over the carpet when I am dancing. I found a solution for this, buy carpet padding to put under the pad. The reason I did not rate this higher is because the A is not very responsive. I have to tap it several times for it to respond. The pad is not very thick and without the carpet padding, my feet hurt after 30 minutes. I highly recommend buying carpet padding, it will make this product so much better.

Way better than the one that comes with DDR5
Wireless is only one of the benefits. It also has a much better surface. The one that comes with DDR has more of a plastic surface that your bare feet will stick to. This one is more of a fabric surface. Feels better on the feet and they don't stick. Also, if you wear socks, it's less slippery.

I didn't notice any lag. Some people might just be looking for excuses to their bad scores. DDR is a great party game and having several mats really adds to the fun.
