Best thing you can buy for a desktop replacement5
I use this awesome piece of equipment for my 17 inch widescreen dell desktop replacement...I have a logitech wirelss gamepad conncet, jbl on tour speakers, logitech cordless mouse and keyboard all at once...its perfect...my speakers connceted directly to the audio port...it works if you have 2.0 or 5.1 audio....and the stand is just great..it comes with all this info to help you deceide what height you set the stand at...also has a clipboard on the stand for documents...keeps everything organized...and if you need to be portable with your laptop..you just unplug the usb from the stand and your all set to go..converting your desktop replacement to a mean portable laptop. Definetely well worth the money. Also great tech support from kensington.

Ergonomic and does what it says but needs improvement4
I own a toshiba m-115 laptop and was searching for a cost-effective and effecient way to dock it. I chose this docking station because the manufacturer claimed that I would not need a separate monitor. It is true, my laptop has a 14 inch widecreen and since the dock is adjustable for your height range you would be able to view your screen without straining your neck. This unit is not plug and play. Read the setup instruction and install the drivers before use or it will not work. Some improvements that I would like to see are: 2 ps/2 ports for legacy keyboards and mice (I had to by a $15 usb to ps/2 splitter. Kensington should at least provide one with every unit sold); additional USB2 ports; a firewire port; a switch which enables you to use the laptop speakers or external speakers ( When your laptop is plugged in you can only use external speakers). Other that those things I am satisfied, I especially find the built in document holder useful and a space saver. Another thing... It is an issue with most usb hubs and docks to be able to hook up an external hard drive or any other mass storage device, with this dock it is not a problem. I have an external drive and a card reader hooked up to this without any problems.

Do yourself a favor and get one because it will save you from allot of hassle.

sleek & sexy with lots of inputs4
With no trouble at all, this expansion dock was up and running. On my system, it currently maintains a network connection, parallel printer, usb camera doc & photo printer, external keyboard, mouse, and amplified speakers, to the docked laptop. A single usb 2.0 connects the dock to the laptop. The dock is height adjustable and cradles the laptop very comfortably. It looks great, functions great, and if it withstands the test of time I will give it a five out of five stars.
