Less expensive Camera Battery
So far, ofter one month, the Kodak KLIC-8000 Equivalent Li-ion Battery appears to work as well at the Kodak label battery. It seems to have the power necessary to provide all the camera functions and maintained a charge for a reasonable time. I do not know how many recharges it will take or how long it will hold a charge without being used. Time will tell.

However, at less than half the cost of the manufacturers product, it is certainly worth taking a chance.

Long charge life - very handy
I'm using this on my Easyshare Z712 IS and I'm very happy with it, I have taken about 800 pictures & videos with just one 6-hour charge and still have power to keep shooting!!!! For this price...I think I'm stolen from them :-)

Good alternative
This battery does a good job of lasting a long time in the camera. I do not know how many times it can be recharged, but its early performance is stellar. It is much less expensive than the "name brand" battery.
