Recorded in Stockholm with the Hot Club of Sweden, "Stockholm Sweetnin' " is the follow up to Connie Evingson's highly successful tribute to Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli, "Gypsy in My Soul". Like 'Gypsy in My Soul", "Stockholm Sweetnin' " features tunes typical in the hot club genre ("After You've Gone" , "If I Had You") as well as unlikely adaptations (Abbey Lincoln's "Throw it Away", Michel Legrand's "Windmills of Your Mind").

Customer Reviews
Electric!
Connie is a natural with hot club jazz. Django would grin ear to ear if he could hear her sing!
I highly recomend this CD
This CD is another that I have purchased based upon one song I heard on the radio, and I really enjoy everything on the CD. This has become another that I find I frequently dig out and play, always a good sign.
I hate to give a low rating to a local girl but...
She just doesn't do it for me. I feel no emotion in her singing, and that is so essential in jazz. She has a pleasant voice, but resonates in the nasal passage a lot, and that is difficult to listen to for a voice teacher. I was disappointed that this was recommended as a good local album.
