Good alternative to a harness.
If your dogs are anything like mine, they go through regular harnesses like no other. They are especially fond of chewing through the straps and buckles, so I decided to buy this life vest as a sturdier alternative. I thought it looked a bit ridiculous at first but I'm pleasantly surprised how well the life jacket has outlasted any of the previous harnesses so far. Plus, I love being able to just pick up my pups-- it's actually made things like putting them into the car much easier. I would also assume it'd be rather helpful when it comes time for them to swim, but I have yet to test that out.

Peace of mind and a little humor
Our terrier mix isn't very interested in swimming, but very interested in jumping around on our inflatable kayak, with no regard for how easy it is to fall in. So, when I saw this dog life jacket, I thought I'd give it a shot. 1. She actually doesn't mind wearing it! I was shocked, but the XS fit our 14.5-lb dog perfectly. 2. It has a HANDLE! *So* clever. When she falls in, we can pick her up very easily. 3. I can't attest to it being a life-saver since our dog does technically know how to swim, but having her wear it around water makes us feel so much better. And, obviously, a dog wearing a life jacket is hilarious.
