no quality
The picture looked just like what I was looking for. When I opened them they looked really nice. I put them on and the leather 'popped', was really not typical of what I have in other boots. I took them to a local shoe cobber/maker. Asked their opinion...they stated that the leather was not a good quality, the stitching not very good and that the sole was 'rather thin'. These boots are going back. I am really disappointed, I have bought many things from Amazon and think they are a superior company. I think that these got by them.

These would NEVER retail for over $200
Wow, these boots are TERRIBLE quality. I was really excited about them b/c I've been looking for flat, black boots all winter, and they were a good price. I ordered the black leather ones (as opposed to the destroyed ones), and they were AWFUL. Pure and simple. They were shiny, crackly, cheap leather. You could see your reflection in them, the quality was so poor. They looked cheaper than my $13 black plastic Old Navy boots.

No wonder these boots are sold only online. There is no way that this company could ever get away with retailing these at $200 in a store. The customer would take one look, laugh, and walk away. I returned mine immediately. Don't be taken in. It seems like a good deal, but the quality is way too poor to be worth it.

Unfortunately Disappointed
The quality of the boot was poor for the leather finish I chose. It was like fake patent leather stripper boots without the big heels! I am sure the other distressed leather was better but, sold out. I returned these boots the day after I received them. For $60 I guess that's what you get.
