Dolce Vita Zoey Boot
After searching high and low for a pair of black boots with buckle details, I found these on Urban Outfitters and fell in love with them. However, the price wasn't right, so I decided to look on Amazon, and lo and behold, they were here and MUCH cheaper. I excitedly ordered them and have been waiting in fervent anticipation for the last week for them to arrive.

Upon arrival, I torn the box open, and was mildly disappointed on first cursory evaluation-- the workmanship doesn't match a $300 boot; there are loose strings from the stitching in certain places, the seam where the leather meets the sole of the boot is a little sketchy... even the leather itself seems a bit odd. Its not the beautiful pebbled/distressed leather shown in images on Amazon and UO... the leather is smoother and doesn't even seem like genuine leather.

In terms of fit, I had to order a 7 (I'm usually a 6.5 or 7) as all the smaller sizes were sold out. My only fear while ordering was that they would be too big (as all other reviewers have suggested), however, they fit perfectly (I wore them with a thin cotton ankle sock). I can see how pulling the boot on can present problems if your calves are more athletic, but I had no problems pulling them up over my skinny jeans. The leather has a tendency to slouch around the ankle, and the overall look of the boot is very cowboy. I have yet to wear them out all day, but my practice runs indoors have shown me that these boots are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in.

I would give 4.5 stars for fit and comfort, 4 stars for style, but minus 1 star for quality of workmanship. Averages out to 3 stars.

High but comfy!
This is a nice casual sexy boot. At first it may take some getting used to as the heel is a bit awkard, but then you end up loving them!! They are quite high, but you can't really feel it in your feet. Defintely get 1 size smaller as they run big. I have big calfs and these actually slide up perfectly. I like the fact that the color is a dark brown, almost black looking so you can definitely mix the colors. I love wearing these with a tights and a cute dress!!

Great Boot
When I saw this boot I knew I have to have them. So I bought the pair and after receiving and trying it on - I wasn't that excited anymore. I am wearing usually a size 8.5 which I ordered. The boot runs one size bigger and the shaft is too wide for my calf. It didn't look good - even with some jeans tucked in. The boots were sent back to the sender. I am left behind sad because I really liked the boot and the way they look.
