About the Author
John Lerma, M.D., is the inpatient medical director for the internationally renowned TMC Hospice, part of the largest medical center in the world, The Medical Center of Houston. After graduating with honors from The University of Texas in Austin with a pharmacy degree, he entered The University of Texas San Antonio medical school and received his board certification in both Internal Medicine as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He has spent the last 10 years caring for the terminally ill and is widely recognized for his compassionate care and for his teaching of end-of-life care to nurses, medical students, and resident physicians. He is currently involved in a research project in palliative medicine with MD Anderson Hospital, the leading cancer institute in the world. Dr. Lerma is a frequent guest on local, national, and international radio and TV.

ASTOUNDING MESSAGES FROM GODS ANGELS
Finally, a scientist and doctor that attempts to bridge the gap between science and spirituality. The 16 stories of individuals from all walks of life are extraordinary and uplifting. I spoke with Dr. John Lerma recently and was appalled when I found that a few of his colleaques and hospital executives attempted at coercing him to stop the book from being published. They felt that medicine had no place for scientific research that involved spirituality through the visions of the dying, as this would have terrible repercussions. I am so glad that Dr. Lerma went forth with exercising his freedom of speech so the people of the world would have an idea that there was something so incredible and loving that was occuring to literally thousands of humans on their death-beds. This book should be read by all as it will change the way you live, forgive and love.

Dr. Lerma's book is amazing!! I don't think there are many medical professionals who can objectively bring together the scientifc and spiritual components of death. I've read other books about this, but what I like here is that Dr. Lerma's research came from firsthand experience with his hospice patients. The commonality of experience across so many patients really made me wonder about the afterlife. I always dismissed this stuff as hallucination. Now, I am not so sure.
