Truly superior quality
I own three pairs of shoes from F J Pliner: two are the Ring boot featured here (in black leather and in micro-fiber), and a pair of oxford shoes in gator skin. They are worth each and every penny.

While I truly like the simple and elegant design of the ring, it is the impressive level of quality that convinced me to buy a second pair.

I am somehow fixated with the quality and beauty of everything I own, and the quality of Pliner's shoes is really superior; not only because they are all made in Italy, where he owns a few factories. Their quality is actually superior even by italian standards.

The micro-fiber ring boots in particular: even though they are dress boots, I have worn them in the snow. I was impressed by their resistance. Wiping them with a damp cloth is all you need to restore them in pristine conditions. I suspect they will survive me.

Incidentally, I met Donald in Santa Fe a few weeks ago, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that he enjoys discoursing in Italian.

Great Boot
I am totaling enjoying this boot. It wears well, I purchase the black pair prior, so I knew it was a good wearing boot. Would purchasing another.
