This how-to-draw book features characters from Nickelodeon's newest hit show Avatar: The Last Airbender. Now anyone can enter into the world of "benders" and learn to draw Aang, the last Avatar, and his friends with ease. From Appa the flying bison and Momo the pet lemur to Fire Lord Ozai and his son Prince Zuko, everyone's favorite characters are featured inside. Each drawing step begins with a line of action, so it's easy for artists of all skill levels to get started. Then simple shapes and techniques are used to add details and definition. Plus, each new step appears in blue, so artists know exactly what to draw next. And as they learn to draw, kids will be doubly entertained by the helpful tips and fun facts about each character.

This is a 5 Star Book!
How To Draw Avatar The Last Airbender is by Shane L. Johnson, one of the best illustrators in the USA. You can learn how to draw Aang, Appa, Momo, Katara, Sokka, Prince Zuko, Jet, Uncle Iroh, Avatar Roku, Princess Azula, Toph, Tui and La. You draw by fully illustrated and easy lesson steps where the next lines you should draw are super imposed over the last step you did. And all the characters are shown in large full color so you can add correct color to them once they are drawn. 5 Stars! Ed, Hawaii.
Maybe a little more needed...
We got this book for our son for Christmas and though we didn't expect magic, I felt that it was a little light on detailing the characters in order to keep the instructions short. Even more pages to help kids start learning basic shading, dynamic composition would have been nice. Otherwise, it is a nice primer on the main Avatar characters and the price is good.
All Right
I paged through this book and its all right if you are and young one and like easy stuff. It doesn't go into deep teaching, its just about one pose for each character and that's it. Not bad
