When an ad is answered to help her manage the secluded English estate, things are not as they appear. Kidman is surprisingly believable as one losing a grip on reality. Watch at night, I can guarantee you, you'll be jumping the whole time!

King invites you to the mysterious goings on of a hospital with its own ghostly past, especially the ghost of little girl, Mary & her friend Ant, protectors of the hospital, from an evil presence which only wishes to consume any & all within. While campy & trying too hard at times, Kingdom Hospital, with its eccentric cast will charm, & may even spook you a time or two.

After a car accident, & the mysterious events that led to it, slowly comes to the surface, Claire (Pfeiffer) becomes obsessed with her neighbors, not realizing that the real ghost is closer to her than she ever imagined. This sly, slight of hand makes for a surprising supernatural thriller.

Bacon is engaging as an everyday man, dissatisfied with his life & unwittingly becomes a 'receiver' for the dead. What unfolds, is terrifying but something he cannot ignore & ultimately, life-changing for him, & all those around him. While on the heels of the Sixth Sense, you'd be a fool to miss this satisfying, moody & dark ghost story.

Little kids are creepy, especially when they think strange entities are interesting. Carole Anne is fearless, even as her home is slowly being overtaken hostage by unseen & hostile presence which wants her. The true horror is finding out where she has been taken & if her parents (well done by Craig T Nelson & Jobeth Williams) can get her back. A spellbinding film, it's a childhood fav.

The imagery of this German silent movie classic and Werner Krauss' performance as the deranged & murderous Dr. Caligari & the supernatural goings on still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end!
