Customer Reviews
Much more arch support than the less expensive model
Men looking to buy a new pair of Tevas are faced with a choice of two models among the traditional rubber-sole styles. This model is a lot more expensive than the "Hurricane." It has a lot more arch support and a thicker sole in general. I decided to get this one because I weigh a lot and I believe it will give me better support for a lot of walking on sidewalks in Europe.
This is my fourth pair of Tevas. They do age and wear out eventually (they are not indesctructible). I am finally retiring one pair that I have owned for about 8 years because the sole is cracking and something sharp is sticking into my heel. My other two pairs have endured too much trauma (paint) to be worn as dress shoes in Italy. I am a size 10 1/2 and definitely recommend that men go up to next higher whole size.
If a pair of Tevas didn't last...
I wore my Tevas for several years, until the tire soles were worn smooth, and a part of the sole was coming loose. Wore them all over Latin America and Florida, in the ocean, the sand, and street. If yours, M. Fox-McGregor, lasted no longer than what you say, then there was definitely a manufacturing problem, and you should have your money back. I'm going to order another pair, based on my last pair. If I have the same issue as M. F-M., then I'm done with Teva. They will have gone the way of so many globalized products.
Poor Strap System
I owned my Terra Fi sandals for less than one year and wore them about 2 dozen times total before the strap holder at the rear of both sandals broke on both the inside and outside of the sandals. I have returned the sandals to be evaluated in an effort to get credit. I spoke with customer support and was told that if there is a defect I will be reimbursed for the shipping cost incurred returning the item. Teva sounds very interested in having satisfied customers and I have owned a pair of Terradactyls for 8 years that are still in great condition. I will look to replace these with a pair of Karnali Wraptors.
