Well written, tasteful, and pleasing....but....
This book is not for the couple that is already 'A Little Bit Naughty'. Naughty meaning unrepressed (uninhibited) in the bedroom. If you've already been 'experimental' with different sexual positions, then this book offers very few new ideas and some that are offered looked downright uncomfortable to the point of painful - see below.
Some of the positions offered for consideration are not naughty at all. For instance:
1) The Missonary (Man on top, woman on back).
2) The woman on top (called the Rodeo in this book).
3) The Wrap Around (Bascially the Missionary Position with the womans legs wrapped around the man.)
Even though considered standard positions, in defense of the author, they do offer variations on the 'theme' (such as pillows or wearing lingerie).
Painful (uncomfortable) Positions offered:
1) The X-Factor: The man sits on the bed and the woman (facing him)
slides onto him...then the both lean back...creating an X. Not terribly comfortable (probably quite painful for the man) and orgasms would entail some work.
2) Stairway to Heaven: The woman stands on the first step of the stairs, the man enters from behind, then grabs one leg and holds it up. I suppose it would be arousing to be in that position, just for novelty sake, but orgasm (for the woman) would be hard to come by.
3) The Wheelbarrow. This is self-explanatory and sorry, this just seems demeaning and silly.
Like other reviewers: I enjoyed the breakdown of each position: How to do it, What is right with it, What's wrong with it, and Variations on the Theme. The pictures were very good and tasteful and the book describes the positions very well.
Overall, however, not for the person (or couple) that has already been a little bit naughty.
Some things are easier . . . when you get older! Really!
After spicing up my sex life with the more exotic (anal sex and deep-throating), I was wondering if there might be fun things to do closer to home (as in "intercourse"). As it turns out, quite a bit!
This tome's cute title, "the little bit naughty book of SEX positions" caught my eye -- that and its "50 tastefully explicit color photos." The text turned out to be quite informative. And the photos (even without showing the most intimate contact) were exceptionally clear and helpful.
As background, I remember trying many sexual positions at some point in my life, but I guess it's easy to fall in a rut.
I also remember that when my husband was much younger, like many young men his penis liked to stay close to his body when erect - which greatly limited the number of positions he found comfortable. I'm happy to say that some things get better with age - and a more supple erection is definitely one of them! Needless to say, once this newfound capability came to light -- my husband became quite enthusiastic! (Down boy, down!)
The chapters are arranged very logically: woman on top, man on top, side by side, sitting down, standing, sexplosion (more orgasms), rear entry, anal sex, simultaneous oral sex positions (69's), kama sutra, and a section for advanced lovers only (only the most supple penises need apply).
But the feature which really sets this reference apart - is how each position is laid out (get it?) in detail. How to do it -- What's right with it (pro) -- What's wrong with it (con) -- and Variations on a theme - are the headings.
The "What's right with it" section really goes into detail on the advantages of each position -- for both men and women -- and how it differs from other seemingly similar postures. The "What's wrong with it" portion tells you what you're giving up by using this geometry.
Lastly, the "Variations on a theme" items are simply costume and accessory (handcuffs, toys, etc.) suggestions to use for each position.
As an example of what you'll find, there are probably a half-a-dozen variations on the missionary position - mainly involving different leg positions for the girl (and the guy) -- and their resulting sensual differences for both sexes - which are surprisingly more significant than you might think!
Here are some of our biggest discoveries as a couple:
* That the number of positions now open to him (get it?) has increased tremendously due to his greater flexibility.
* That even if he weren't more flexible, the book contained several new postures his "younger" self would've enjoyed (where the couple's bodies are kept closer together).
* That some positions are more conducive to female pleasure, either in terms of stimulating the clitoris or g-spot, or allowing for masturbation.
* That there are many positions that are often times more easily performed - outside the bed -- such as sitting on the floor, in a chair, or on the kitchen counter! (And "no," I didn't try the "wheelbarrow.")
Some of our favorite new positions included standing with one leg up, sometimes using a staircase (to accommodate different heights); sitting in a chair facing away from him; kneeling on the bed with my knees apart; and sitting on the kitchen counter!
Two of these activities are now possible - since the kids aren't always home! And the other two are enjoyable since they allow me easier access to myself -- for masturbation - which is a pleasure I discovered while learning to give anal sex!
As suggestions for the author - it would've been helpful to also have a few sections on oral sex (for both him and her), and one for deep-throating.
To conclude - you're never too old to learn new positions - especially since they NOW might be easier to perform! Let the "little bit naughty book of SEX positions" - SHOW YOU HOW! Enjoy.
Fun & Provocative
This book is a great little addition to the nightstand or coffee table.
The positions and the pictures are always likely to spark some ideas or
even inspire you to take hardcore action on the spot.
The text that goes along with the pics is well-written and evocative.
Nice.
