How to Manage Your Child's Life-Threatening Food Allergies: Practical Tips for Everyday LifeHow to Manage Your Child's Life-Threatening Food Allergies: Practical Tips for Everyday Life by Linda Marienhoff Coss
Buy new: $12.71 / Used from: $6.13
This wonderful book is a MUST BUY. So many of her strategies are ones I learned by trial and error myself, but do yourself a favor and spare yourself the effort. You'll have enough to deal with.
The Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook: Two Hundred Gourmet & Homestyle Recipes for the Food Allergic FamilyThe Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook: Two Hundred Gourmet & Homestyle Recipes for the Food Allergic Family by Cybele Pascal
Buy new: $12.89 / Used from: $9.80
Cybele Pascal was a chef first, and later became the mom of a food-allergic child. So this cookbook is full of recipes that you will be PROUD to serve to others, and delighted to eat yourself. And best of all, they will be perfectly safe for your food-allergic child.
The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite MealsThe Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals by Missy Chase Lapine
Buy new: $12.21 / Used from: $3.50
Lots of food allergic children end up limiting their diets and become picky eaters. I know I myself, over the years, periodically fell into ruts where I would basically cook the same things for my daughter over and over again, so that she lost her appetite for a wide variety of foods. This book will help you get healthy foods into your child even if they have a limited diet.
Emerg Alert Medical Alert Emergency ID Bracelet and Wallet Card - BlankEmerg Alert Medical Alert Emergency ID Bracelet and Wallet Card - Blank

This is not the bracelet that we use, but I want to include it on my list because it is a good idea for your child to have one. This one is inexpensive, and I assume you can engrave your child's name on the back. You could replace the chain with a pretty strand of beads (strung on bead wire, of course, not string).
What's to Eat? The Milk-Free, Egg-Free, Nut-Free Food Allergy CookbookWhat's to Eat? The Milk-Free, Egg-Free, Nut-Free Food Allergy Cookbook by Linda Marienhoff Coss
Buy new: $11.53 / Used from: $5.62
This is another well-used cookbook - I use it several times a week. It has delicious recipes, tried and tested by the same author who wrote the wonderful "How to Manage Your Child's Life-Threatening Food Allergies". This book is a little more "kid friendly" than the Whole Foods Allergy Cookbook (more familiar foods, more sugar), but the food is delicious to adult palates too.
The Complete Kid's Allergy and Asthma Guide: Allergy and Asthma Information for Children of All AgesThe Complete Kid's Allergy and Asthma Guide: Allergy and Asthma Information for Children of All Ages
Buy new: $13.46 / Used from: $0.08
I really found this book helpful because my daughter, unfortunately, has many atopic issues, not just food allergies. This book covers some of the others that your child might also have, or that you might want to be on the lookout for (asthma, latex allergy, eczema, hay fever, etc...).
Food Allergies For DummiesFood Allergies For Dummies by Robert A. Wood MD
Buy new: $13.59 / Used from: $1.62
Like most "For Dummies" guides, this book is lighter in tone than the "How to Manage Your Child's Life-Threatening Food Allergies" book that I so highly recommend. However, it is still chock full of useful and interesting information, and Dr. Robert Wood (a peanut allergy sufferer) of John Hopkins University is one of the most respected names in food allergies today.
The Food Allergy News Cookbook: A Collection of Recipes from Food Allergy News and Members of the Food Allergy NetworkThe Food Allergy News Cookbook: A Collection of Recipes from Food Allergy News and Members of the Food Allergy Network
Buy new: $13.57 / Used from: $9.87
This is another great supplemental cookbook full of kid-friendly recipes. The variety of chefs though (the recipes are from the Food Allergy Network's members) mean that, at least, from my perspective, the recipes are not as consistent as say the "What's to Eat?" book. But I still use this often.

Essential for a milk allergic child. These are the only calcium vitamins my daughter will eat. But beware, gummy vitamins are the bane of dentists, so after out daughter eats them, she drinks water, and then carefully brushes her teeth.

Tasty vitamins for kids, but again, make them brush their teeth after they eat them!
Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless-Steel lined Lunch Jar, SilverZojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless-Steel lined Lunch Jar, Silver
Buy new: $41.38 / Used from: $35.00
This is what I send my daughter to school with for her lunch - it is a little big and heavy, but she loves it because it really keeps her food hot. There are four separate containers for food, and it comes with a spork. They are pricey, but over the course of a school year, it is quite cost effective.
