The Werner 32-foot Type 1A 300-pound duty rating fiberglass flat D-rung extension ladder has internal guides at the bottom of the fly section for secure interlocking of the fiberglass rails. Aluminum construction and a traction-tred feature keeps the rungs durable while ensuring a secure footing, while the rail shield bracket and shu-lok feature resist slipping. The base and fly sections are easily separated to use the base as a single ladder. Made of nonconductive fiberglass rails for added safety in case of electrical hazards, this innovative extension ladder has a duty rating of 300 pounds (type IA). Slip-resistant Traction-Tred D-rungs ensure solid footing even in wet conditions. Rungs are connected to the rails with Werner's exclusive Alflo rung joint connection for twist-free performance. External guides at the top of the base section keep rails tightly locked together. Rugged spring locks operate smoothly for easy height selection. Werner 28" Extension Ladder
Very well made ladder. Very light (for it's size). Extending the ladder is very easy, extension locks never hang up. D-rungs are huge improvement over round designs (I do wish the rungs were a 1/4-1/2" wider.) I shopped around alot before selecting the Werner and I felt they were very high quality construction. It has proven to be very rugged and dependable in use.

Minor cons - The upper extension is located "in front" of lower extension so it is easy to miss the transition rung (I have marked the lowest rung on the upper ladder with red dyechem marking ink as a visual indicator of the transition point to avoid missing the step). Note: All my older ladders are the reverse of this set-up and, I think, this adds to my difficulty with this design.
My only other con is that you must stand on the "inside" (due to above design) to use the extension rope, which makes adjusting the ladder to the correct working height more difficult.

Recommended accessory - Without a doubt the Werner Quik Clip Stablizer is the greatest. The added stability and workspace at the top of the ladder is outstanding. Takes less than 5 seconds to put on or take off. No u-bolts or other attachment methods.

Extension Ladder
I like the solid feel of this ladder, and you can do electrial work and you are not grounded. I use it with the automatic ladder leveler, and quick click stabilizer. Both of which I think are very good, and wouldn't use the ladder without.

I safely moved up in the world with this purchase! It is an excellent quality extension ladder. Safely reaches to where I need to be. Better and safer by far than my old aluminum extension ladder that seemed to shift with every movement I made. I had an opportunity to try this ladder out when my neighbor offered me the use of his Werner extension ladder. I liked it enough to buy my own. I have since purchased the Heavy Duty Ladder Dolly and the Grippster Ladder Taxi as a backsaving accessories. Now I can easily lift and roll the ladder to where I need it without straining my back. I also use the Werner Extension Ladder Covers and the Werner QuickClick Stabilizer. Werner ladders are sturdy and well worth the price! ~ The Boss
