The Panasonic EY3551GQ Cordless Circular Saw features a 6-1/2-inch, 48-tooth, carbide-tipped blade for smooth cutting through wood. The cordless design means that the EY3551GQ can be used almost anywhere. Designed with inverter charger technology, the Ni-MH battery charging system allows for long battery pack life -- this saw can plow through 280 cuts of 2x4 pine on a single charge -- and quick re-charging time. Plus, there's no compromise in power -- this tool provides more than enough punch using a motor with high-power magnets, heat-resistant brushes, and a built-in cooling fan. For your comfort, the saw's advanced ergonomic design means it's compact, well-balanced and easy to operate for extended periods of time without fatigue. The successful combination of technology with Panasonic durability delivers a circular saw that is loaded with helpful features and provides a reliable solution that tradesmen can use for all their construction needs.

I expected more...3
I've owned just about every cordless tool made through the years and Panasonic makes great drills. They have great ergonomics and battery life (after 5 years, I have yet to replace a battery and I use the drill hard). I decided to purchase the saw and was somewhat disappointed. It seemed cheaply made and the adjustments are flimsy. The thing that irks me the most is the blade. They must be special ordered because of the arbor size. You won't find them in a box store and they cost $45-$50! Each! That is unacceptable.

Panasonic cordless wood saw5
I replaced my Makita 18 V saw with the 18 V Panasonic, and it has been well worth it. As a professional remodeler, I use the 15.6 V panasonic drills and impact drivers on a daily basis, along with the 18 V recip. saw and drill. This circular saw has plenty of power, makes smooth cuts, and is very well designed ergonomically. The battery life between charges is as good as all Panasonic products, which in my experience, has been great. I have solved all of my complaints re: my old saw with the Panasonic. I couldn't be more pleased.

poor battery2
I got my replacement saw in march.(the first one I THOUGHT WAS A JOKE)..but the replacement was the same.very dissapointing for Panasonic...the reviews stated it would cut 320 2x4 on a single charge.try 50 !!both saws did about 50 2x's and back to the charger..I may as well have bought the Ryobi got 2 baterries and saved $150 ..my older Panasonic tools were way better..I got a LOW BID tool for a high bid price..
