One of my 3 favorite movie stars of all time is Aussie-born Flynn. Perhaps his 2 best movies, GENTLEMAN JIM and ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, are not in this box set. See my Listmania: BEST FILMS OF ERROL FLYNN
The Man From Snowy RiverThe Man From Snowy River
Buy new: $7.49 / Used from: $6.84
My favorite movie of the past 25 years. A few corny lines, but I don't care. Fabulous scenery, music, story and action. The horse sequences are magical. Directed superbly by Aussie director George Miller.
The Very Best of the Bee GeesThe Very Best of the Bee Gees by The Bee Gees
Buy used from: $12.88
Hit it big during the British invasion of North American pop music, but actually originally from Australia. Two more recent excellent CDs are STILL WATERS and THIS IS WHERE I CAME IN.
The Road WarriorThe Road Warrior
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $4.52
Probably my favorite action movie of all time, this is one of 3 Mad Max movies, starring Aussie actor Mel Gibson, directed by ANOTHER Aussie director ALSO named George Miller. Then of course, there are several other major Mel Gibson movies.

Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $1.72
Directed by Bruce Beresford. One of the best films of the past decade. Starts as a small human interest movie, but builds to a more cosmic appeal. Makes my list of INSPIRATIONAL FILMS. More Beresford films below.
HombreHombre
Buy new: $17.99 / Used from: $5.72
A strong female performance by Diane Cilento, Aussie actress and ex-wife of Sean Connery. Outstanding female role too (for a change).
Network (Two-Disc Special Edition)Network (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $11.25
Oscar-winning performance(posthumous) by Aussie actor Peter Finch. Outstanding other performances by Faye Dunaway(Oscar win) and William Holden(nominated). Good movie, despite one of the stupidest endings in movie history.
The Year of Living DangerouslyThe Year of Living Dangerously
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $5.69
Early Gibson film and one of his best. Challenges us all with the scripture of Luke 3:10. " What then shall we do?"
Forever YoungForever Young
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $2.48
Makes it onto my GREAT SCREEN ROMANCES list, though I don't usually care for timetravel/ghost movies. As little Beth once said to Lou Grant about NFL football: "I prefer real life".
BraveheartBraveheart
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $1.89
Stirring but occasionally inaccurate Oscar winner for best pic. Starring and directed by Mel Gibson.
The Passion of the Christ (Full Screen Edition)The Passion of the Christ (Full Screen Edition)
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $1.22
Over-praised by Christians since it's a rare film which doesn't bash faith. It moves many, though I was bored myself. Racism charges groundless, depicts good and bad Jews. Faithful to scripture, so you'd have to say the Bible is racist(ridic !!!)
The Patriot (Special Edition)The Patriot (Special Edition)
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $2.25
Aussie actor Heath Ledger. And Mel, of course.
Crocodile Dundee Triple FeatureCrocodile Dundee Triple Feature
Buy new: $17.49 / Used from: $13.48
This 3-pack has all the fun Croc Dundee flicks. Paul Hogan was a likeable star. It's been a while but memory says the first was best, as usual.
Tender MerciesTender Mercies
Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $5.63
Still another major film from director Beresford. Robert Duvall won an Oscar. Doesn't really give unbelievers a sense of the significance of adult baptism or the reason for all the joy, but hopefully arouses a little curiosity about that.
King DavidKing David
Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $4.84
Not nearly as bad as critics said. Some scriptural errors and some distortions of the significance of David's life, but Beresford continues to do films of spiritual significance.
To Die ForTo Die For

Good action, mystery thriller starring Aussie actor Bryan Browne and Brian Dennehy
A Cry in the DarkA Cry in the Dark

Film treatment of the famous trial in Australia. Film sheds no light on the controversy as to whether "The dingo ate your baby"(to quote Seinfeld's Elaine), but then how could it? One of many Oscar noms for Meryl Streep.
