Buy new: $32.84 / Used from: $13.98 A brilliant developer I worked with at MTV.com recommended this book to me on more than one occasion. Similar to the Bulletproof Web Design book from Dan Cederholm this JavaScript book from Peter-Paul Koch is a simple outline of proper use of client-side scripting with some solid examples to illustrate complex topics. It may be a review for seasoned developers but still a must-read!

Buy used from: $105.65 I just started this book by Luke Wrobleski based on its reference in Brain Sparks, a blog from User Interface Engineering founder Jared Spool. Lots of good advice so far, and considering the revenue impact some of these UI improvements can have it is essential for all form developers to practice these principles.

Buy new: $16.49 / Used from: $8.50 If you manage developers (any humans for that matter) or have any hope of doing so successfully in the future you need to read this book. I met the author, Michael Lopp, while interviewing at Apple and found his book and his blog randsinrepose.com to be extremely insightful. Buy this book, read all the archived posts on his blog, and be a better manager. Period(!).
