Very Cute!
I received this kit in the mail today, and I have to say that I am really pleased! This Baby Bib kit includes the following:

* 2 baby bibs(one with pale green edge, one with pale yellow edge)
* 1 embroidery needle
* 5 skeins of pretty embroidery floss (red, orange, pink, pale green, pale blue)
* A 23 page booklet with how-to and photographed examples of 3 of the designs
* 6 reusable iron on transfers

All of these items come in a very cute box. If you know someone who is expecting who also likes to embroider, this could be a really cute gift for them! The patterns included in this kit include the following designs:

* Mommy (or Daddy) Owl with Baby Owl
* Snail
* Smiling Bowl and Spoon with the phrase "YUM"
* Zooming Jet plane with phrase "OPEN UP"
* Smiling Fruits (a pear, strawberry, orange)
* and a design that mimics spilled pureed baby food with the words "peas", "carrots", and "beets" next to each splotch of spilled food

The designs are very cute, and I consider all of them to be quite gender neutral, with perhaps the exception of the Jet plane----but I suppose if you were to make this in more feminine colors, you could make this design appropriate for a girl as well.

As mentioned the designs are really cute -- - I could actually see myself using the owls, snail, fruits and spoon/bowl designs on tea towels, aprons, or other things for "grown-ups".

The bibs themselves say they are sized 0-12 months, which lead me to hesitate purchasing this product because my youngest child is 18 months old, and I was not sure if I would actually get any use out of them. But, these bibs still fit him nicely because of the velcro closure around the neck. The bibs themselves are a little thin, but if they were any thicker they would probably be a bit difficult to stitch.

The Amazon price for this product is just right. I am not sure if it would have been worth it to me, if I had to pay full price. The reason I say that is because I am sure that a large part of the cost to make this kit went into making the nice 23 page booklet that is included. Being that I already know how to embroider, I really do not need this booklet. But, as I said, I feel the Amazon price is just right for the materials and supplies to make 2 baby bibs. Plus it is awesome that the patterns are reusable.

WONDERFUL!
This is a great kit!! The patterns are super fun & cute. My only reason for not giving it the full 5 stars is the quality of the bibs. They are sooooo thin. I would suggest buying more quality bibs and using the transfers on them. You will still get your money out of the transfers as you can use them multiple times.
