Editorial Reviews

Album Description
Nine songs were recorded between 1987 and 1991 and have never been released until now. The remaining five are new compositions. A treat for new and old fans of Jon Butcher and the Jon Butcher Axis.

CLEAN UP YOUR ROOM PLEASE5
The Definitive Jon Butcher CD Is Here. This Covers Everything: The Beginning, The Middle, And The Furture. I Hope There Never Is An End. The Song "Tiger In The Tall Grass" Is Reason Enough To Buy This CD. "Bats" And "Tie The Devil Down" Just Add Even More Reasons To Buy This CD. If This Is Just SOME Of What Is Under The Bed. What Is In The Closet??????

Jon Butcher Returns (was he ever really gone?)5
For anyone who ever wondered what became of Jon Butcher....this is it! I loved his music back in the 80s. "Wishes, Holy War, and Goodbye Saving Grace" were incredible songs. Finally, some of his friends have talked him into looking under his bed, dusting off some of the music he has been keeping to himself, and, thankfully, we get "A Stiff Little Breeze." It is reminescent of old, yet new. One of my favorites is "Tiger in the Tall Grass." If you ever loved Jon Butcher or are just looking for something to listen to while the world keeps turning, you can't go wrong with this. It is nostalgic, yet refreshingly new. No two songs are alike, but you still hear Jon and his amazing sense of music. Just a little goodie bag from Jon himself. He is still an incredible guitar player. I listen to this often!

Jon Butcher Axis Where are you?!!(Life Takes a Life)5
In 1983 I bought a cassette tape of Jon Butcher Axis self titled album. It included "Life Takes a Life", "Ocean in Motion","Can't Be the Only Fool", "Walk Like This", among others. I wore out the tape in no time, but when I looked for it again it was out of print. I've listened to other Butcher albums, but none have reached the quality of this album. While looking through used tapes in a half price bookstore, I found the tape! It wasn't in very good shape, but I was able to find some people who did a pro job of bringing it back to life. A good friend was able to burn it on a CD, thus, it was reborn. If you find this album latch onto it, it is, indeed, a true musical experience.
