Not the whole spool (just the insides).
When I bought this I thought it would come as the whole spool, but all that came was the insides. I just bought a new Poulan Pro PP125 trimmer, and thought I might as well buy a new spool since they get beat up bouncing it on the ground to get more string to come out. Just buy replacement string and do it your self. The parts they send you almost never wear out.
Wonderful edger
We ordered the string trimmer and attachment edger and blower. The edger does a great job - not only along paved surfaces but also around the beds in our yard. The string trimmer and blower are nothing extra special but get the job done.
