Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Product Description
The HD100 is a high-definition Digital Radio that provides superior reception of HD digital AM/FM and existing AM/FM signals. This next-generation radio receives the additional digital channels many FM stations now offer on their current frequency. The crystal-clear sound of HD Radio has virtually no static, fade, hiss, or pops--with improved signal quality that makes AM sound like FM and FM sound like a CD. Unlike satellite radio, HD Radio is free; there is no subscription fee. An internal FM and an external AM antenna provide optimum reception in any environment. Seek control can search for all stations or digital (HD) stations only. Indicator lights show stereo and digital signal detection. The backlit graphical display highlights scrolling text such as station ID, song title, artist and important weather or traffic updates. Intuitive controls include full clock-radio functions, alarm and snooze control and ten station presets (five AM and five FM).

Customer Reviews

Poor Reception, Poor Design1
I got this radio to listen to a news radio station and a few other AM stations. It received the news radio, crystal clear, on the station's FM HD band but did not receive any other AM stations that were not HD including stations I receive with average/fair clarity on my at least 15 years old, very basic (cheap!) clock radio.

In addition, the design of this radio is pitiful! It's a clock radio - try to work the controls when you are half asleep. The tiny snooze button is lost somewhere in a row of tiny buttons, likewise the sleep button.

I do not recommend this radio at all for anyone.

Just right in the right place4
I bought this little radio form my garage/workshop and it is just right. It is not fancy and doesn't look particularly great but it fills the workshop with great sound and doesn't take up too much room. I also don't have to worry about getting a fancy case all dusty.
If you are looking for a good looking machine for your living room, keep looking, but for a garage or workshop it is just right.
Unfortunately the Chinese styling and manufacture include an over large power converter and a power cord that sticks out the back making it difficult to put the radio in a small space.

Radiosophy HD100 Digital HD Radio Reciever3
This HD Radio performs on and average level but not for the $100 price. The clock and alarm has poor readout allmost impossible to read at night, and cannot be set for 5 day alarm.Digital readout veay small.Probably a $60.00 value radio.
