Product Description

In this guide to Apple’s revolutionary motion graphics software, commercial artists Damian Allen, Bryce Button, and Mark Spencer teach you to create cutting-edge animations, show opens, promos, logos, and effects while you learn Motion 3. As with the other titles in the Apple Pro Training Series, each chapter represents a complete lesson with a commercial-quality project to work through as you learn. The authors begin with generators and quickly move on to Motion’s behavior-based animations, particles, filters, effects, replicator, tracking, and matchmoving. The best-selling book is fully revised to take advantage of the software’s new features: you’ll create sophisticated 3D environments, design painterly elements using customizable brushes and strokes, automatically create motion paths from moving images without tedious frame-by-frame keyframing, remove camera shake, and animate text with 3D effects. Includes companion DVD with project and media files.

The best way to learn Motion 3!5
When I picked up Final Cut Studio 2 I have to say I really wanted it for Final Cut Pro. That is until I saw the power Motion 3 has! Being a longtime After Effects user I was hesitant to get into Motion 3. I'm glad I did. Motion 3 is extremely powerful.

When I looked for the best training option I chose Apple Pro Training Series: Motion 3 by Damian Allen, Mark Spencer, Bryce Button. I have been an avid fan of Mark Spencer's since I first saw him on MacBreak. I plan on getting Apple Certified in Motion and this book will take me there. It's well written, has real world examples in the lessons, and hits every aspect you need to know to be proficient in Motion 3.

An excellent guide for Apple Motion 3!5
This book has some really practical examples and tutorials. It's written in a direct way which makes it easier to follow and understand all the steps since English is not my first language and is really pleasing to read through this manual, and be able to easily accomplish the goals. Really helpful, regardless of your previous experience with the program, and worth recommending.

Excellent content, cheap binding4
The tutorials are easy to follow and well put together. They keep repeating the shortcuts which is very helpful. I give the author and content 5 stars.

The binding is awful. After one week it came apart and just now, it broke in another place. I haven't been any rougher on this book than I am on the hundreds of others that I own. I need to get some glue and put it back together. This binding brings down the rating.
