Capresso 560 Infinity Burr Grinder, BlackCapresso 560 Infinity Burr Grinder, Black
Buy new: $89.00 / Used from: $89.00
Best grinder under 100 bucks. It's hard to get a grinder capable of producing the small even grind required for espresso for any less than this. Do not underestimate the effect that a grinder will have on your espresso in the end.

I challenge you to find a less expensive pump-driven espresso machine. A pump-driven machine is essential to producing espresso that has the right flavor and crema.
Amco Coffee TamperAmco Coffee Tamper
Buy new: $6.95
You need a real tamper. You don't need to spend 30 bucks on one though. It's just a shaped piece of metal, but you need a hefty one with a decent shape to help compact the grounds to ensure proper coffee extraction. Espresso tamped with a 6 dollar tamper isn't going to taste different than if it were tamped with a 40 dollar tamper.
Bodum Pavina Double Wall Thermal Glass CollectionBodum Pavina Double Wall Thermal Glass Collection
I love these little glasses. They make larger ones too, but these are perfect for espresso. You can fit two under the dispenser in the DeLonghi espresso maker listed here and you won't have to worry about them being hot to the touch. They'll also keep the espresso hot for you while you foam up some milk if you want to make a fancier latte like drink.
Bodum Chambord 8-Cup Coffee PressBodum Chambord 8-Cup Coffee Press
Buy new: $39.99
Ok so this one doesn't have anything to do with espresso, but it's still really nice to have. Use it for tea or coffee- because sometimes you feel like a cup of coffee or tea instead of ultra-concentrated espresso. Just don't leave the thing sitting with pressed tea or coffee in it when you leave for vacation- the screen is difficult to clean if allowed to mold.
Home Coffee Roasting, Revised, Updated Edition: Romance and RevivalHome Coffee Roasting, Revised, Updated Edition: Romance and Revival by Kenneth Davids
Buy new: $12.21 / Used from: $9.50
A great guide to roasting your own coffee beans. Not a must-have, but if you've got a cast iron skillet or large thick non-stick pan you've got most of what you need to try roasting yourself. You'll ruin a few batches sure, but you'll never have better nor fresher coffee than that which you roast yourself.
