Shell Of It's Former Self1
I wrote a glowing review of this magazine a while back before they changed the content. I felt the need write another review, so no one would be misled by the earlier one, thinking this was the same magazine.

The magazine has recently been revamped and is shallow beyond words. It's now nothing more than the usual glamour magazine targeted toward women with a fluff article or two on alternative healing thrown in for appearances sake only. After years of getting a magazine with indepth and very informative articles on alternative medicine, I routinely throw this new model in the garbage the moment it arrives at my home.

Don't waste your time or money. I won't be renewing my subscription.

Misleading title- nothing "Natural" about it1
This magazine title should be changed. It is no longer "Natural Health". The revamped magazine includes sections on makeup, home decorating, articles on weight loss and healthier diets (not natural diets). It has become very mainstream. This magazine reminds me of Glamour or Woman's Day. Another complaint I have aside from the fluff content is there are more ads than content, that is not an exaggeration. Count them. You will find over 50% of the pages are ads.

Here's an example: this month (MAY 2004) had an article about jet lag and one of the ways to lesson the lag was "sleeping pills/waking pills". This may help jetlag, but it's not "natural health" and an alternative should be listed, although professionals may recommend pills.

Another complaint, is every month there is an article focusing on weight loss. Sounds like a typical mainstream magazine, although it's not as good as the mainstream magazines. I do not recommend this magazine if you are actually looking for info on "Natural Health".

Mind numbingly boring1
I loved this magazine in 1995, until a few years ago. They have changed editors a few times and now it is not even worth reading the ads.

No new information. Glossy pics of models with bright red lips. What is about health here?

Get Life Extension magazine and Alternative Medicine Magazine. They've changed too over the last few years, but still a far sight better than this one.
