A basic changing pad that can be screwed into the back of any dresser. This was great. After 6 months, our baby was too big for a changing table, so we just put it away. I found simple white terry covers at Target.

A really helpful guide for the first year and beyond. Make sure attachment parenting makes sense to you before buying, though. I use mine all the time.

Used these for EVERYTHING. Especially with my overactive letdown during breastfeeding. Very absorbant.

Indispensable. I still use them at 9 months postpartum. You might think about some disposables for early on. I leaked a lot and needed disposables, then graduated to these.

I got a used Fisher Price bouncy seat at a garage sale for $5. Best $5 we ever spent. With the use we got out of this, I would have paid much, much more. We didn't use the "play" feature much--our baby just liked to look around or play with a toy while sitting. We used this for the first six months constantly.

Okay, these blankets are a little expensive, but they are AMAZING. Someone bought them for me as a gift and I love them. Don't buy a million receiving blankets. Just get these and maybe one or two heavier fleece or knit blankets. I use these (still) for everything. Burp cloth, nursing cover, blanket (obviously). They are very versatile and soft and useful.

Perfect for newborn skin--no irritants or fragrances. It lasted a long time too! Six or seven months!

This was a lifesaver for me. It works great and is quite efficient. Because I am a stay-at-home mom, though, I might have bought a lower-power version and been okay. I was very happy with this one.

This carseat worked great, was a good price. We used the snap-in stroller attachment, which was fine for us because we didn't walk except for fun. If you live in a big city and walk everyday to the grocery, etc, invest in something bigger/better.
