Editorial Reviews

From the Manufacturer
Hot Dots Reading Comprehension Sets help students practice comprehension skills with instant, interactive reinforcement. Each 50-story set contains 10 reading selections for each reading level, from grades 2 to 6. After reading the story on the front of the card, the student flips it over to tackle four multiple-choice questions designed to test specific reading comprehension skills. The student can touch his answer choice with a Talking Hot Dots Pen for immediate voice or SFX feedback, or can write down his answer choices and check them against the included answer key. Stories include many genres aligned to reading standards. These fascinating Hot Dots-powered story cards are the perfect tool to challenge young students and hone reading comprehension skills.

Customer Reviews

Good educational supplement4
My 3rd grade special needs child enjoys reading these stories and the reinforcement of the "dot pen" with its lights and noise is a lot of fun for him when he has to work on the reading comprehension questions. The downside is that the stories range from 1st to high 5th level (guide marks each story). I would prefer to have a box of stories with less range (maybe just 1-2nd then another box of just 3-4) but we're using these and will continue.
