Masterpiece of a book!5
The title of this book seem to be a bit confusing: Mustang Masterpieces is not really true - it's all about Shelby Mustangs!
Luckily the second title reveals it: "Featuring The Cars Of Carroll Shelby" The photo on the cover might also be confusing: the 1965-1970 cars take up about 3/5 of the volume, still leaving 2/5 to the contemporary Shelbys, plus a nice bonus: a separate chapter on Caroll Shelby, the man behind the cars.

Beautiful photography, just what is to be expected from such a volume. Not too much on the side of technical info, but lots of interesting stories and annectotes on the discoveries and histories of individual cars. Least represented of the bunch is the 1968 model year, but luckily lots on the first generation Shelby Mustangs, R-Model, Hertz, spupercharged, r-spec coupe...
Also - and this is a first to my knowledge: a neat story on a rare 1966 find, underlined with large-size photos of the "diamond in the rough" as it sat on the day of the buy - rusty, dusty and unrestored...

Jerry Heasly has produced a beautiful volume that should be included in in every Shelby enthusiast's library. Another plus: more than acceptable price for the amount of book delivered!

disappointing1
While the contents of this book was great...the condition of this book was not...the book was sold as a new book but when it arrived, it was unwrapped with many pages in the middle of the book crinkled and wavey which means it had been exposed to moisture...very disappointing...even if this book had been sold as a second hand book it should not have been sold in this condition.
