A mi me gusta La Princesa Prometida!
One of my favorite exercises for improving my Spanish skills is watching movies with an excellent Spanish language track - and "The Princess Bride" is one of the best I've come across. The book expands on the story, providing background on the lives of each of the characters that the movie leaves out - Inigo and Fezzik's childhoods, for example. Reading the book has expanded my vocabulary by leaps and bounds - and I enjoy the book so much that re-reading it is a definite pleasure. Each page I read without looking up a word shows me how much I've retained from the previous read-through. It's a fun story and a great read - in any language!
