Doesn't slip, but it is too heavy to carry in your bag for taking on trips.
I wish there was a reliable, portable suction cup mount for my Nuvi 350. I was tired of trying to catch my GPS as the cheap factory provided suction cup always fell off while I was driving at high speeds on the freeway (Garmin needs to invest in some better rubber, I have never seen that issue with other brands). The friction mount is a heavy bean bag with non-skid on the bottom. It does not slip at all and I don't worry about the GPS falling into my lap anymore. I would prefer a better suction cup mount because I like the GPS to be mounted higher and not in the sun on the dash (it is harder to read on the dash than just under the sun visor where I had always mounted it). This friction mount is the best solution I have found to date....

Great And Secure Mount
We bought this just before our last trip. In over 2,000 miles on mountain roads, hills and curves it never moved once. It is easy to attach and can just be moved down out of site when you are stopped. Well recommended!!

Doesn't work for all cars
I have a 2007 MINI Cooper S, and this mount slides on my dash. It moves a little bit during normal driving, but it completely slides off my dash under any kind of acceleration or sharp turning. The dash is textured, which may contribute to this. I realize this situation will not apply to everyone, but if you have a MINI S, using it for what it was made for means this mount won't work. I'm not talking about crazy road racing; just more than normal acceleration or turning.
