Product Description

Once in every generation, a film comes along... That's not usually a phrase used to describe a pornographic film, but the cowboy fantasy BuckleRoos isn't your typical sex flick. Codirected by Jerry Douglas and John Rutherford, the two-part, four-hour epic is a masterpiece of the genre, and one of the most award-winning gay adult films in history. How it got made is the subject of this rollicking, spirited documentary by female gay-porn videographer Mr. Pam. There's the sexy southerner who does porn to pay for law school, the hunky Latino who's an ex-Pentecostal minister, and the straight production assistant who lets it all hang out if an actor needs "inspiration."

The fellowship of the traveling belt buckle3
This is a documentary about the making of an adult gay video called "BuckleRoos" which went on to win a record-breaking number of adult video awards. This is not the first documentary to travel this trail (I seem to remember seeing one called "Shooting Porn"). What makes it a little odd is that it is produced by the producer/director of "BuckleRoos". This, to me, makes the documentary little more than one of those "making of" featurettes that are always included in the director's cut editions of any Hollywood studio film. It's a promotional fluff piece. In other words, "Exposed" is no "Expose." Everyone in the film is happy and proud of what they do. It is well produced and one gets something of a sense of what goes on behind the scenes when making an adult video (like lying to property owners and passers-by by saying you're shooting a jeans commercial). Also, everyone must multitask (the straight AP guy exhibits himself to the actors when the "need a little hel"). The film covers the entire 17 days it took to shoot "BuckleRoos" (which seems to be about a mysterious Man in Black and a belt buckle that gets passed along and has aphrodisiac powers. Okay, it ain't Brokeback Mountain), and concludes with tearful good-byes at the wrap party and then the joyous celebration at the Gay Adult Video Awards banquet when "BuckleRoos" lassos all the big awards. By the way, the cast of "BuckleRoos" included a law student and a former Pentecostal minister. Everyone seems comfortable with their sexuality and their roles in "the industry." This documentary will most likely be of interest to people with personal interests in the individual adult film models. While their private lives (and real names) are carefully protected, you do get a sense of their individual personalities.

Behind the Scenes of Scenes of Behinds.3
I ordered this DVD thinking it might be interesting. It is much
more than just that. It portrays not only the problems of making
a successful film but it also gives insight into the personalities
of the people who put it all together. A lot of beautiful bods, to
be sure, but it was good to discover that, inside those beautiful
bods were some lovely human beings and some equally lovely guys who
showed them off to great effect. Can't wait to get hold of the
result of their labors, "BuckleRoos". I feel that my journey is
only half over.

Worth the Money4
This is a entertaining film that shows what really goes on in the making of an adult feature. The off-screen interviews and comentarys are intertaining and informative. The pacing is good and even here the cast is defanatly "exposed". Made me want to go out and purchase "Buckleroos"!
