The STEALTH1 is Defender’s do-it-yourself, wire free, covert DVR system with a built-in color camera for use in your home or business. With the STEALTH1 you can watch over your business, family, or valuables after-hours or if you are not at home. It is disguised as a motion sensor but also contains a built-in camera which records directly to the included SD card. Because of the STEALTH1’s conventional appearance it can be used to supervise your home or business completely undetected.

Completely Wire-Free Monitoring -- Up to 17 Hours of Continuous Wire-Free This unit is able to run completely wire-free by using 4 AA batteries for up to 17 hours of live viewing or 12 hours of continuous recording (lithium batteries recommended). An AC power adapter is also included to power the system.

Easily Review and Transfer Your Video The STEALTH1 also offers a live-view mode. You can view footage by hooking up to your TV, or remove the SD card to view or archive all recorded video on your personal computer.

45 Days of Recording with Included SD Card This unit captures high quality digital video and records directly onto the included 2GB SD card. The STEALTH1 is also SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) compatible up to 32GB (not included), offering up to 720 days of continuous recording.

Worry-Free Recording Options This unit lets you choose what happens to your stored footage once the SD card becomes full. The overwrite option will automatically delete old footage and replace it with newly recorded video. This will result in consistent recording even when the SD Card is full. If you do not wish to have previous footage deleted and replaced, you can select a full stop option which will halt all recording once the drive is full, with no footage being replaced or deleted.

Fast and Easy Set-Up This system is extremely easy to set up and use. Within a matter of minutes you can be recording with no need to hire a professional installer.

Motion Activated Recording The motion activation capability will cause the unit to record only when movement is detected. You can also adjust the motion sensitivity so that regular movement within viewing range (such as a tree moving in the wind) will not trigger recording. Motion activation results in only key events being recorded and saves space on the SD card.

Manual and Scheduled Recording Modes The STEALTH1 allows you to record footage using three different types of recording modes: manual, scheduled, and motion activation. Manual recording allows you to record continuously until you manually stop recording.

Scheduled recording lets you record your store front after hours or monitor your valuables when you are not at home. Just input a specific period of time during the day to record. Using Motion Activated Recording while in this mode ensures that the unit separately records abnormal events and saves space on your SD card.

Date and Time Stamp This system captures the date and time of recorded footage in all recording modes so it is always clear when your recorded footage took place.

Time, Date, and Event Search The search feature makes it easy to find footage quickly and efficiently. Searching by time and date allows you find and play back the desired day, hour, and minute of captured video footage. Searching by event allows you to find any instance of motion detection.

High Quality MPEG4 Video Compression The STEALTH1 records to the included SD card in MPEG-4 compressed video. This allows hours of recording without any sacrifice in quality, and in a format common to most computers. This makes backing up and archiving on your home PC very easy.

Protect Yourself Worldwide The STEALTH1 has the capability to be used in North America as well as overseas. The power source can utilize AC and DC power. The unit itself is compatible with NTSC and PAL standards. There is a manual switch on the back of the system which will create compatible viewing depending on where you are located.

Great Spy Cam
This spy cam is so simple to use and it takes great videos on an SD memory card. You can put the camera anywhere or mount it on the wall and it will record video for over a month. The videos are in 30 second segments by date and time on the SD card. It connects to the TV with one simple cable (supplied) for viewing and you can fast forward and rewind like a VCR with buttons on the back. It can be used plugged in or can run on batteries. This would be a good nanny cam or in an area you need to monitor for security purposes. The only bad part is that it doesn't record video well in low light. So, this is a day time cam.

Overall... it's a great Device for Discreet spying and monitoring where you like. You can just pop in the SD card in to your card reader and the footages taken starts playing with Windows Media Player. I just wish it had sound as well, But I guess it would use double the memory, so I can see why they did not incorporate sound into it. The video Quality is Great. And for $250 it's a no brainier. If you are into gadgets and detective work This is definitely a must have. As I mentioned before the adapter wire is too short, though you can just cut the wire and extend it with another wire and use Electric tape to seal it.

Excellent value - needs a better user manual
This little thing does crystal clear surveillance. The owner's manual barely covers the basics but it is well worth your time to experiment with it. One major omission from the manual - the unit must be connected to a monitor in order to set it up and aim it. I have a pocket TV with a video input that works perfectly for this - since these TV's will be obsolete in February, you can probably pick one up CHEAP and use with the camera. I love the motion detect feature - you can adjust the sensitivity and monitor only the "action" that you are looking for. Also love the playback from the unit or from computer.
