Celtic singer, Michael Londra is partnering with Concern Worldwide to release a Christmas album and dvd. The Oct 26 release, BEYOND THE STAR will feature 11 tracks of Holiday classics by the ethereal lead voice of Riverdance on Broadway and a film of Michael s last trip to Haiti as ambassador of Concern Worldwide. Produced by Steve Skinner, the album marks the end of a very busy year for Michael. His voice also featured with some of the worlds greatest singers on the Universal Records release Arias : Ancora With Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo and Pavarotti reaching No 1 in Asia. He toured worldwide with Celtic Legends, a show he both produced and performed in, heading up a massive China tour in the spring. BEYOND THE STAR features classic tracks like The Wexford Carol (his hometown Christmas song), In the Bleak Mid Winter, a Gaelic version of Silent Night and his own carol sung by choirs worldwide Beyond The Star. The last track of the album is a live recording of Michael , aged 10 with the Wexford Male Voice Choir singing Little Donkey Concern Worldwide, is an aid organization working with the poorest of the poor in 28 countries worldwide, Michael has witnessed absolute poverty in countries Haiti, the poorest country in the Western World. The holiday gift set features a dvd of Michaels last trip to Haiti, the poorest country in the Western world. With a particular focus on the lack of access to clean water the film deals with the problems families in particular children have in transporting water daily to drink and cook.

Another beautiful CD from Michael Londra
Michael Londra has released another beautiful CD and it is sure to be a favourite every Christmas for years to come.
Beyond the star is a thoughtful and moving new song and the selection of traditional carols on the CD are perfect for a trditional Christmas season. Michael's voice and the ethereal arrangements are a pleasure to listen to and the bonus track of him singing as a child with the Wexford men's choir is a treat.
I have been buying copies for friends and family and everyone has been delighted to receive this CD!

Truly beautiful Christmas CD
Michael Londra has a hauntingly beautiful voice. He's chosen a wonderful selection of songs to include on his first Christmas CD. These are deep, meaningful songs. His version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" will transport you right to the center of the true spirit of Christmas. "Beyond the Star", which is Michael's own composition, is destined to become a Christmas classic. Steve Skinner's arrangements are fabulous, as always. A truly beautiful Christmas CD, one that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
