Ideal for serving pasta, these two 24-ounce bowls are a traditional French shape and have smooth exteriors that make them welcome in contemporary kitchens. They can go directly from freezer to oven, under the broiler, into the microwave, and through the dishwasher without harm to their glossy, lead-free glaze, which does not absorb odors or moisture and is so hard it will not crack, craze, discolor, or scratch. The bowls measure 7-1/4 inches in diameter and 2-1/2 inches high.

PASTA PERFECT AND SALAD SUPREME
These bowls not only add a cheery, appetizing look to our table, but they're perfect for both pasta dishes and salads. The Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad is a favorite, and the red of the bowls makes the lettuce look even crisper.

Whatever your preference in pasta - spaghetti, linguini, ravioli, all are well served (pun intended) with these bowls.

Last but not least the bowls are almost indestructible - microwave them, pop in the dishwasher, keep warm in the oven, or even run them under the broiler. After repeated use the color retains its original bright hue.

Beautiful and tough: best ever for pasta, soup, and salad
These bowls are the workhorses of our kitchen: tough enough for everyday use (and frequent runs through our UNcareful dishwasher) and pretty enough to put out for company.

When I first began using Emile Henry table and cookware years ago, the idea of banging around the kitchen with pottery (especially pottery with unglazed bits like the bottoms [not the sides] of these bowls) made me very nervous. But in time, we've learned that this pottery requires no special handling. Almost anything else in our kitchen has to be treated more carefully than these hefty bowls.

And almost nothing is as versatile. Although our nest is empty, I bought several sets of these because they are useful for soup, salad, and dessert -- and more. That they can go in the microwave and oven and under the broiler means that they are useful small serving dishes: vegetables and cobblers, for instance.

The red is beautiful and bright. And the bowls are so useful that I consider picking up this set in other colors, too.

Amazing Everyday Use!
These bowls are perfect for everyday use. Infact, I find myself eating atleast 2 meals a day in them! They heat up in the micro and look great on the table. Very durable and heavy enough to provide some gravitas to your next meal, be it oatmeal or pasta!
