About the Actor
In 1984, Candida Royalle went from being an adult film star to creating the internationally acclaimed Femme line of erotic movies from a woman's perspective. She has since lectured worldwide on her work, and is the first adult filmmaker to have been invited into membership by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Profiles of Ms. Royalle have appeared in The New York Times, Time Magazine, The Washington Post, The London Times, Elle and Mademoiselle, among others. She has also made guest appearances on several TV shows including Phil Donohue, Joan Rivers and 48 Hours.

A pornographic film for the Ladies
Pornography by definition is the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement. There are numerous items available on Amazon which could be considered pornographic in the books and video sections.

When it comes to films, pornography is loosely divided into two parts, softcore pornography, in which the sexual liaisons are assumed to be simulated and hardcore pornography, in which coitus. fellatio and cunnilingus actually take place and are graphically displayed and are often enhanced for the viewer.

There are many of the former type films available at Amazon and I have even written Guides and lists of many but until I came across Sex/Erotica for Women: Candida Royalle's One Size Fits All, I was unaware that anything resembling hardcore porn was available.

Sex/Erotica for Women: Candida Royalle's One Size Fits All is a story about a skimpy, albeit sexy dress and five women, friends of a sort, who don this dress only to find themselves in various sexual interludes. The story is weak but the action is strong. All five women are shown copulating (the real thing) and giving and receiving oral sex.

As far as hardcore is concerned this would probably be considered mild because there is nothing weird about the sex. No girl on girl and no sadomasochistic behavior, just straight sex. That's probably why it appeals to women and that's good enough for me.

Two out of five
Two of the vignettes live up to the "erotica for women" subtitle, but the other three are typical of Ms Royalle's more recent mass production approach--interchangeable couples in a pop-eyed rush to perform the same moves in the same order according to some uniformly scripted standard--without benefit of anything remotely recognizable as imagination, never mind sensuous foreplay.

This is the best in adult video?
My wife and I were looking for something close to mainstream, this is not. We got this because the reviews were good, and the producer has a reputation for doing movies that show women in a positive way, not humiliating or demeaning.

The plot is unimaginative, the dialog is forced, the acting is amature, the music is almost like something I'd expect to hear on a merry-go-round, completely out of place. It is also completely not funny. Billed as an erotic comedy, this is not funny.

If you just want to see people having sex, this might be ok, although the talking during the sex is more forced dialog that is distracting, and there's little chemestry between the obviously acting actors.

On the plus side, the women of the movie are the main characters, and they are not humilliated or demeaned in any way. The sex is straight sex, accessible to main stream couples.

If this is high quality porn, then porn is very poor quality.
